TheR34 Skyline GT-R is a car that enthusiasts around the world know and love. It’s been a popular choice for drag racing, circuit racing, and even show cars for many years. So when the R35 was released, many people were wondering if the R34 would become illegal in the United States. The R34 GTR is not legal in the US at this time.

Before2024, an R34 may be brought into the country legally for use on the racetrack only; it cannot be registered or used on public roads, in accordance with NHTSA regulations. To do so, you’ll need the NHTSA’s formal consent and the car’s conversion to track-only use before importing.
